Register your iControl. Please register your iControl. You will need your unit's Serial Number to complete this step. If you are having AIE help you with setting up the router etc., your iControl MUST be registered. We would be happy to register it for you, if you like. Just let us know.
Set up your router to work with the iControl. You may either hire AIE to do this for you, or do it yourself. If you are able to set this up yourself (run Cat5 or Wireless Adapter, create Port Forwarding, configure IP addresses) then click here to request the iControl Router Connection Document. Include your name and Serial Number in the email. Your ownership will be verified, and it will be emailed to you promptly.
Set up self-monitoring and alerts, silencing alarms, using the online interface, etc. Once your iControl is connected to your router, it can send alerts and be remotely accessed. Here is the iControl Quick Start Guide that provides a brief overview of becoming familiar with your new iControl.
